glug brighton

Friday the 13th, oh so very spooky, I attended Glug a Brighton based live art event and assisted illustrator David Callow paint a large and very beautiful wall piece. The night was a great success and showcased the work of other artists and illustrators including Pomme Chan, Jira Koo, Mark Taplin and Pinky. All of the live art was based around the theme of Friday the 13th, it was great to see the varying responses to the brief. Here are a few pics I took between brush strokes.

It was a rather rainy journey to the new exhibition at Chapter One gallery in Soho, but well worth the effort as the show entitled 'Our Ends' showcases some exciting, established and emerging artists and illustrators based in London. From the vast imaginings of illustrator Marcus Oakley to the Psychedelic journeys of the lovely Lindsey Gooden and Micheal Willis, the show is a real treat for the eyes, if you are around certainly check it out.

For the July show, I created three large, new, pieces each an imagined botanical specimen from the mythical island of Atlantis.
Each piece is suspended, floating between two sheets of glass.
Watch this space for more detailed photographs of the series coming soon!

a t l a n t i s - exhibition

Earlier this year I was invited to create illustrations as part of a month long exhibition at the AIM gallery in central MK. Seven contemporary illustrators contributed including; samuelbell.co.uk, omarhraib.com, darkmechanic.blogspot.com, jamesariking.com, zeroten.net and davidcallow.co.uk.

Visually intoxicating, the work produced showed off some real emerging talent. A big well done to all involved!
